Where is my data stored?
Your data is stored on the phone, a copy is sent to the cloud and stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in London. The storage location is not directly accessible for added security.
Is my data transported securely to the cloud?
Yes. All data is sent encrypted via HTTPS/SSL. It's the same as the technology used by most secure websites such as Amazon, eBay, PayPal and banks.
Do you share my data?
Why do you need to store my email and account data in the cloud?
We need your email and account data so you can sync data between devices, recover your data and or password if the need arises.
What about my doctor?
An upcoming feature will allow you to let clinicians (GP, nurse etc) see your data, you will be able to turn off access whenever you want.
Is the advice provided by Intellin safe and medically approved?
Yes, information is signed off by a medical professional and reviewed annually, however, all decisions about your diabetes therapy must be taken after consulting with your diabetes specialist.

Has the app been through clinical trials?
A version of the app has been tested in women with gestational diabetes and a poster was presented at the National Diabetes in Pregnancy Conference 2018 – Birmingham, UK and a version of the app is in the INDUCE study at Salford Royal Hospital, UK
Is the app developed to any recognised standards?
Yes, the UI is designed to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) AA, we are also ISO 27001 certified for information security and undergoing certification for Cyber Essentials Plus.
Do you comply with any NHS data standards?
Yes, we have completed the NHS’s Data Security and Protection tool kit (DSPT) assessment, meeting the NHS criteria for Information Security and Governance. Organisation Code: 8KH74
Do you comply with the data protection act?
Yes, we comply with the data protection act and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Can I delete my account?
Yes, go to https://account.Intellin.com/login, Login with your credentials then choose
Start account delete process. We will delete your account and all information that can identify you.
Please note, we always retain the answers in an anonymous way. The answer data is used to improve predictions and for research to help improve outcomes for all users of the app. You will have to delete the app data or remove the app from your phone in the normal way.
Are you collecting more data than you need (data harvesting)?
What apps or devices are you connecting to?
We are connecting to a variety of devices made by major brands such as Fitbit, Garmin, iHealth, Polar, Suunto, Omron, Withings. We can also connect with Google Fit and Strava.
In the near future, we will launch the ability to connect to Dexcom G6 and Freestyle Libre.
